Informal letter
A letter to a friend describing what one might do when arriving early at school
Date: 16 August 2024
Dear Ashutosh,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to share with you how I spend my time when I arrive early at school. It’s become quite a routine for me, and I find it helps me start the day on a positive note.
Usually, I get to school about 30 minutes before the first bell rings. The first thing I do is head to the library. It’s quiet there, and I use this peaceful time to review my notes for the day’s classes or finish up any last-minute homework. Sometimes, if I’m feeling particularly studious, I’ll pick up a book and do some extra reading.
If the weather is nice, I like to take a short walk around the school grounds. It’s refreshing and helps me clear my mind before the busy day begins. I often bump into other early arrivers, and we chat for a bit, which is a nice way to ease into social interactions for the day.
On days when I’m feeling a bit sleepy, I’ll stop by the cafeteria for a quick breakfast or a cup of tea. This gives me an energy boost and helps me feel more alert for my morning classes.
Occasionally, I use this time to meet with teachers if I have any questions about assignments or need extra help with a subject. They appreciate the initiative, and it’s easier to have one-on-one time before classes start.
Lastly, I always make sure to organize my locker and ensure I have all the materials I need for the day. This helps me feel prepared and reduces stress during class transitions.
How about you? Do you ever arrive early at your school? If so, what do you like to do with that extra time?
Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
